Tony Blomdahl, Daniel Hjorth, Glenn Larsson and Tobias Persson are the four original members of GruppEn. Since they started up in 1996 they together with other artists and groups had worked with Group-Composition, improvisations, sound installations and performance art. GruppEn are mostly known for the project GCMC (GruppEn Computer Music Commissions) and their series of musical world records.

 

The records:

1996 The worlds longest musical improvisation (36 hours).

1997 The worlds most silent concert (under 30 dB).

1998 The worlds shortest concert (59,74Ó).

1999 The first and last construction concert of the millenium.
