WIP: BabeAnoid 2.5 - Hidden world

BabeAnoid 2.5 - Hidden Worlds is still in production, albeit very slow.
 

A BabeAnoid 2.5 level with the new Colour towers & walls
Additions:
  • A WHOLE SET OF NEW SECRET LEVELS! (About 18 new levels crammed with unique design and features)
  • A new text message-system have been added (and replaces some gfx-messages)! It prints text to the bottom left screen and gives both important info and good-to-know stuff that you couldn't find before...
  • Colour towers, balls & walls: walls/blocks that can only be destroyed if the ball has been set to the same colour...
  • SpinWheel towers that catches the ball and ejects in one of 8 directions (not entry), including horizontally and vertically!
  • Game info in MapRooms: Keys, Score, Lives and Gold info now displayed - makes it easier to keep track of the saved games
  • A.I.-blocks that can detect the ball and jump away!
  • Pinball towers that rebounds the ball with a speed-kick and awards a few points
  • Score gfx: A new system that displays animated scores for blocks etc. on screen, at the point of event
  • Ghost-bat in Hysteria-mode. (A second bat dragging behind, making bat-area wider)
  • Double, triple and quadruple enemy kills (with Laser) are now recognized and greatly rewarded!
  • "Complete Level"-bonus. A kind of misson bonus, never randomized
  • Additional in-game music by Blakkhar & Psycreator
  • More block explosion-anims
  • A new "Zone Cleared" anim
Improvements:
  • Speeeed! An ancient problem finally (probably) solved - the balls max-speed is now increased 50%. Also the start-speed of the ball is slightly increased so is the speed-up effect of hitting the ball with a moving bat The Speed-Up/Down bonuses now have a much greater effect too. Hysteria-mode is MUCH faster as well.
  • Level Score Screen can now be sped-up by any clicking any mouse/key
  • Graphics optimized (reduced unused transparent areas of bobs) so the game should now perform even better, especially on low-end set-up's that could suffer temporary slow-downs during gfx-intensive parts
  • The Amiga-ball is now animated
  • Lemmings now have two more "moves"
  • Room-markers - Playable levels/rooms are now marked with a symbol (if map found) to help distinguish them from the corridors etc
  • MegaBonus-system is now displayed/high-lighted clearer when picking up a MegaBonus
  • You are now compensated with extra points if picking up an extra Life when having the max 6
  • You are now compensated with 15 gold if you pick up a Key when having the max 5
  • NTSC users: You can now move the bat up 16 pixels by pressing "Y"-key
  • Minor adjustments and improvements to most levels
  • A lot of graphic improvements, many "babes" added, some even animated! Picture:Amiga Bikini
  • The reduced sample bank has now been adjusted to allow sfx on a plain A1200
  • Tunnels now faster. (In-time inversely proportional to number of exits)
Changes:
  • Bat size/Gold-Bat indicators (current & start) replaced with a single better and more graphical system
  • Many background pictures replaced with new (better) ones. (Less people, more patterns & nature)
  • Some in-game music exchanged
  • Bomb bonus is currently removed, it was of limited use and often caused gfx-errors, an improved version might be added
  • Score-display now only show "active" numbers, i.e. "1234" instead of "0001234"
  • Bonus-blocks do no longer score points, cause damage or render shrapnel
Bug fixes: (or at least hopefully fixed)
  • The Falling-block could in combination with Spawn-blocks render a level unable to be finished, due to a block-count error
  • The Invader enemy could be reborn if killed almost simultaneously as the player
  • The last Tank & Invader enemy missiles could be rendered harmless after the enemy was destroyed
  • Map-room navigation: some Stores could not be passed through from some directions on certain levels
  • BONUS-letters not zeroed when loading a saved game (Sorry! ;))
  • Background Colour Flash (Indicates diffrent features) didn't flash all 4 colours
  • Corrected Help-On-Line info about duration times for Hysteria (20s not 30s) and Reversed (10s not 20s) modes
  • Statistics/Isometric-screen could cause gfx-errors (or worse?) due to illegal variable use (same as block coords)
