BabeAnoid - Newz 11 April 2003

BabeAnoid v2.0 has now been completed and released!

The "Jerky mouse" bug from the v1.1 demo has been fixed.

Some of the latest additions and improvements are:

  • Magnets: Magnet towers that push/pulls the ball.
  • Metal sparks: Ball can scratch against walls.
  • Tunnels: Similar to warpzones but the ball can exit any of the tunnels.
  • Growing Blocks: Like plants, will take over the screen if not stopped in time!
  • Stats-Screen: In-game info with a tactical isometric view of the board.
  • More bonus features & effects has been added, but some are surprises ;)

I've also improved and almost finsished all the neccesary function and info screens - like the Credits screen (Old grab). The High-score routine is complete and the "Enter your name" part has been improved.

Previous additions include a PacMan-bonus (Catch with the ball for 1000p) and chain-reaction exploding blocks A few other "old" features that i didn't mention before are Bumps and SpeedZones...Not really important things...but it just shows how big BA is!

This is a test level showing some recent additions:
Ramps are slides that can smoothly transport the ball over solid walls.
Roofs are just that...the ball and enemies will appear ghosted when under.
One-Way zones are single direction hatches that will allow creation of fun and tricky levels.
