NME reports that our friend, Richard Ashcroft, played the final show of his American tou rlast night in Vancouver(February 7). Two days ago he pulled a gig in SAN FRANCISCO because Sonny fell ill and doctors said that the child was too ill to travel. At present there are no plans to reschedule the San Francisco date.

Updated the links section once again. There is a link to a very fine netzine (or what you call these things) called 'Nude As The News', which features an interesting Richard Ashcroft interview.

According to my web host the audio files won´t be running in the nearest three weeks. It´s a bitch. Good news is that once the audio streams, you will be able to listen to the Stockholm gig recorded last September. You will also be able to hear the acoustic 'New York' from the David Letterman show, recorded earlier this year. Have patience, friends, patience.

NME reported today that an extra show at the LONDON BRIXTON ACADEMY for February 24 will be held. The London shows that were pulled have now been rearranged for next month. Tickets for the original December 14 concert are now valid for February 21. Tickets for the December 15 show are now valid for February 23. Tickets for the new show on February 24 go on sale this morning, priced #18.50.

According to TvGuide Richard Ashcroft is scheduled to perform on the Late Show with David Letterman on Friday, January 19. (thanks Jennifer! keep posting to the [VIN])

I have also made a minor update on the links, a major clean up will soon be made in that section. I particularily recommend woodys excellent 'Alone With Everybody' site.

well kids, here is proof that drugs can be bad for your health...taken from the official site:

"Richard Ashcroft's London concerts, scheduled for today (14.12.00) and Friday (15.12.00), have been postponed following an accident at his Birmingham Academy show 12/12. Richard fell from the stage, breaking two ribs and injuring his back in the process. Despite considerable pain, Richard returned to complete an encore. As a consequence, however, the two remaining shows on his UK tour - both at the Brixton Academy - will have to be rescheduled for February 2001. Doctors have advised Ashcroft to rest until the New Year. His next concerts will be an American tour, which opens in Chicago on 19th January."

also added some gig reviews to the site and i will soon be adding some sounds from the stockholm gig (hopefully).

oh, and the gig with madonna seem to have been quite nice. it must have been great to hear 'lonely soul' live. in my opinion DJ Shadow should be one of the collaborators for the next album since 'lonely soul' is fantastic.

radio 1 reports that richard ashcroft will play the second fiddle for madonna in london, 28th november. [personally i think madonna should be the support slot for richie but thats just me] the party will take place at the brixton academy and no tickets are for sale since it is a private event with contest winners and other invited people. there will soon be a contest you can enter at the radio 1 site: here.

i have added the new american dates to the gig section.

more rare sounds will be uploaded for your pleasure very soon...

the us tour is postponed due to illness, this is taken from the NME site:

"RICHARD ASHCROFT's forthcoming UK tour will not be affected by his decision to postpone his imminent US tour, NME.COM can confirm. As exclusively revealed on NME.COM earlier today (November 2), Ashcroft postponed all the dates on his sold out US tour due to illness. He was due to start the tour on Saturday (November 4) at the Chicago Double Door, and then play another nine acoustic shows throughout the rest of the month. However, these tour dates will be rescheduled for January and February next year. A spokesperson for Ashcroft assured NME.COM that his UK shows will continue. The unaffected UK dates are at: Manchester Apollo (December 3-4) Dublin Olympia (6-7) Glasgow Barrowland (8,10) Birmingham Academy (11-12) London Brixton Academy (14-15) NME.COM will bring you the rescheduled US dates as soon as they are announced."
