Royal Albert Hall 2002/02/08
Full setlist was:
1. Lucky Man
2. Buy It In Bottles (new song)
3. (new song - I don't think he told us the name)
4. History
5. Bittersweet Symphony
We only got part of the 2nd new song - he stopped it half way saying "I
think we'll snip that one there". We also only got part of History,
him stopping that singing "I should have practised for this gig".
Then some rambling about 'I would have practised if I had wanted to.'
Then he said 'But this one will really hit the spot' before going into
Bittersweet Symphony.
'Buy It In Bottles' sounds like it is going to be a real classic - maybe
not single material, but then who knows what the 'electric' version will
be like. Definitely a great song.
---------------
Also, can add that the version of 'Bittersweet Symphony' he played was
very similar to the version he played on his last tour, in fact almost
identical (up to the point where the electric part of the song used to
kick in on the last tour).
He was also having mic problems in 'History', which may have contributed
to him losing his concentration and the song crashing.
He was introduced by Roger Daltrey of The Who.
Later, Liam dedicated 'Rock n Roll Star' to Richard, and Noel thanked
him for playing before 'Don't Look Back In Anger'.
