About us
S*Graymalkin’s Russian Blue is a small cattery located in Lidköping, Sweden. Our intention is to breed healthy cats in a household environment. We have the desire to give a Graymalkin’s Russian Blue many years of mutual benefit and happiness with its owner.

The breeder name Graymalkin is lent from Shakespeare’s play Macbeth where three witches meet in a stormy night. Eventually when the scene draws near to an end one of the witches call out to her cat: 
‘I come Graymalkin’.

Our cats
In May 2000 we got our first Russian Blue. His pedigree name is S*Limelight’s Harley, and he is a straightforward Russian Blue. He welcomes our guests at the door with a friendly ‘meeeow’ and doesn’t hesitate to leap up and rest on their shoulders if he is given the opportunity.

Harley is now neutered, after having had five litters. The last one with a female Russian Blue imported from central Europe. Her name is A*Flashpaws Vision of Love (Vicky), and is a very beautiful Russian Blue.

In October 2002 S*Romanenko's Oxana, the daughter of Harley and Vicky,  moved in with us. She is an affectionate little lady that enchants everyone with her lovely temper. There's something special about our young female Russian Blue. At times she is like a small blue tornado that flies across the livingroom but in the next moment she is curling up in the lap.

1st litter (HT)
We had our first litter in January 2002, one male and two female kittens. Our female at the time was S*Sidensvansens Tindra, a quite large scandinavian typed female Russian Blue.

The kittens after Tindra and Harley were named considered to their parents’ initial letters. Hence they were called S*Graymalkin’s Hamlet Tsarevitj, Hera Teleia and Hecate Titania

2nd litter (JT)
For Tindra's second litter we used  S*Limelight's Jonathan. Tindra only got one kitten that time. He was called S*Graymalkin's Jago Tavarich.

3rd litter (JH)
S*Graymalkin's Hecate Titania, who got the best from both parents, had her first litter in December 2003 with S*Limelight's Jonathan. There were four kittens in the litter: S*Graymalkin's Jaques Helios, Jason Horatio, Julius Hektor and Julia Hermione.

4th litter (YO)
Our fourth litter was after S*Romanenko's Oxana, Harleys last daughter before he was neutered. Oxana met with S*Vatulands Yurij and had three kittens in august 2005; S*Graymalkin's Yawing Othello, Yorick Oberon and Yearning Ofelia. Both the males stayed in Sweden but Ofelia was sold to Finland and the buyer started breeding Russian Blue with Ofelia as her queen.

5th litter (YO2)
The fifth litter has the same parrents as the fourth. Luna had the litter in januar 2007. The kittens are named, S*Graymalkin's Younker Orlando, Youthful Olivia & Young Octavia.
