Hyttbäcken
- a charming 100-year old farm
a tourist attraction in Hedemora in the South of Dalarna
In
the year 1990 Hyttbäckens Gård was opened as a touristgoal. About
fifty guests assembled. The touristchef Kjell Rosén hold the dedicatory
speech and cut the blue/yellow ribbon to the woodshed, where the new visual
show: ´Hedemora welcomes you´ was shown. It is still very popular.
Hyttbäckens
Gård - a paradise behind the firhedge, a journalist wrote in the towns
daily. Here comes touring coaches for lunch, to experience electronics multimedia-shows,
have a tour aound the Anné-Trädgården and visit the handicraft-shop.
With the red buildings
surrounding the yard in the old fashion way and with the rural scen all around
by the lake Viggen 7 km outside the nearest town Hedemora Hyttbäckens
Gård welcomes you with repainted ornament of flowers above the windows.
The woodshed has been restored and a stove installed - now a bistro for luncheon-guests.
And so are the building where the tractors previously were put up - now ´the
grand-stuga´. Here you also will find the exhibition with woven pictures.
In the attick on the top Tage Ulmerud shows his unique multi media visual
arts: crossfading with two or several projectors with sounds.
In the timbered storehouse is now the handicraft-shop. Straight across the
farmyard is bed & breakfast in the little cottage.
On the back of the main house is a new terasse constructed where lunch are
beeing served. From here you have a nice view over the rather new project
Anné-
Garden.

The
cabinet-maker and neighbour Olle Olsson presented Ann Stenback with a cock,
which has been Hyttbäcken´s souvenir and are sold in the handicraft-shop
but in a smaller size and decorated with flowers by Ann.
Try mouse over!
New constructed terasse, where Trelleborg´s fotballs-team had buildt up
with Hyttbäcken´s lasagna before meeting Borlänge. The resultat
4-0 to Trelleborg!. (Left).
Hyttbäcken
is asleep in it´s winter-time during the newcomer´s first year 1987/88
with plenty of snee. In the weaving studio on the first floor Ann is weaving
her first products after two years school in weaving. If you are living in an
old farm you have to live up to old times knowledge!
Ann
in the window of the handicraft-shop. The lead mounting has been made by her
brother Jan Stenback, the fifth generation´s of glazier. The design
of the window is more than hundreds years old and was nearly to be forgotten
in the beginning of the 1900th century. At that time Ann´s grandfather
Lars Stenback was given the advice by a leading personality in the world of
culture, Gustaf Ankarcrona, to start to make this lead mounting again. So
he did. Today it can be seen all over Sweden.
A
touringcoache has arrived with 50 tourists to Hyttbäckens Gård
with lunch and a multi media show on the program. Two musicians with accordions
are leading the way.
The
first Summer a simple sign gives the tourists a a little information. We made
it all by ourselves. And so are the trend still. (Right)
The
first Summer 1987 we didn´t know either of the terasse or the Anné-Garden.
At that time the wild flower-field reached all the way down to the farmer´s
corn-field..
