My own opinion of this album.
The album Fire & Ice is again a different album compared to all the earlier albums he recorded. The music is again more developed with a lot of strings and some flute, played by the way by Yngwie's sister Lolo Lannerbäck.
Many songs returns to the first albums' neo-classic style but in a more developed way, and the individual songs are more varied than on any other album, such as on No Mercy and Forever Is A Long Time which combines classical and classical inspired pieces with a fast double bass drums heavy metal sound.
The variation on the album is wide; from the pop oriented Teaser to the heavy tunes of the instrumental songs Perpetual and Leviathan. One must also mention Final Curtain which is basically a heavy song but lightened up with strings and the short but beautiful instrumental Golden Dawn on which Yngwie is playing an acoustic guitar backed up by Mats Olausson's keyboard sound.
