My own opinion of this album.
  • This was Yngwie's first solo album after his Steeler and Alcatrazz sessions.
A pure neo-classic heavy metal album that made Yngwie famous around the world. This album has set the standard for neo-classic heavy metal.
This album is mainly an instrumental album, with only two songs containing lyrics. These two are Now Your Ships Are Burned and As Above, So Below.
This album is the album that many Yngwie fans rates the best ever made by Yngwie, and I have this set as no. 1 or 2 of the albums he has recorded.
Every single song on this album is superb, and it would really be unfair to point out a single song as the best of the album. But if I should mention one, it has to be Icarus' Dream Suite Op. 4.
On the whole, this album is a masterpiece that no one ever will be able to come near, not even Yngwie himself.
