Pessimism
Pessimism
is a way to look upon the world that makes it more standable. For me it's
a given lifestyle. A proof of the fact that I've actually been reflecting
upon life, which I find being a must for every intelligent person. I can't
stand pathological optimists. They make me puke. I also find self-affirmation*
(*I'm good, I'm lovely, I'm good-looking, I can do
what ever I want, I'm worth being appreciated, I can do it, I'm not afraid,
I can fly...) being real crap.
If
you expect the worse you get many opportunities to be proven wrong.
If
you expect the best you will constantly be disappointed. Life is filled
with nothing
else but a normal, dull middle road of not-so-great-but-not-
that-bad-either-things.
According
to recent research in Sweden 69%
of the population is "satisfied with their lives as a whole". That means
that 2,8 million people in this country haven't reached complete satisfaction.
Have
you?
An
essential part of the pessimistic soul is the irony.
No pessimist is standable without a great portion of irony and lots of
black humour. ´Cause who can stand a pouting and whining asshole?
