The serious me is a
lady named Janna Ferreira.
I'm 26 years old and
educated at the Department of Logopedics
and Phoniatrics and on the Department
of Linguistics at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden.
I recently graduated
(for this time being!!) with a Master of
Science in Speech and Language Pathology and Therapy
with a completing Degree of Bachelor of
Arts in General Linguistics.
I'm a speech, language
and communication therapist/pathologist.
After graduating I
moved to Sundsvall and got employed through the Kom-Y
project which is a multidisciplinary communication centre that provides
speech disabled and communication impaired people with low- and high-tech
communication aids and augmentative devices. It is a great team to work
with and I really can recommend people to work there. Mail
Due to personal things
(which is another word for boyfriend) I've recently moved to Linköping
and I work with rehabilitation of disabled children, somehow walking a
track from the same road of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
as I did in Sundsvall.
I've got a dream of
a future career in research, hopefully through the Tema
Institute in Linköping, Sweden. It has a great, wellstructured
PhD-program for Communication Studies. But I've still to decide what I
want to do research about, I've got a bit width in my linguistic research
interests. Such as:
| alternative
communication
(Bliss, sign language) |
communicative
interaction
and pragmatics, |
| computerized
communication
interfaces |
discourse analysis
(thanks to Marian!) |
| speech awareness | communicative breakdowns |
| development in child language | dyslexia |
