- - ABOUT US                 We are a small family kennel in Thetford, Norfolk, East England. Married in 1975, we have three       daughters. We have owned Bulldogs for ten years although have only been breeding and showing       for six.                                      Steve walking the dogs in the forest.             We bought our first Bulldog ten years ago just as a family pet. Tilly was by no means a show       dog, but she did give us one nice litter. Unfortunately she died recently, a combination of old age       and a nasty chest infection.       Our second Bulldog Fred was actually given to us, a beautiful red dog who was such a lot of fun,       too much for his initial owners, but we loved him dearly. Fred was shown just a couple of times at       small open dog shows and did very well. He thoroughly enjoyed all the attention !!       We then gained our third Bulldog which put us on the ‘path’ to showing and breeding. Rosie was       originally bought by unsuitable owners who soon become frustrated with the usual snorting and       snoring of the bulldog. In order to take her we had to convince the owners that if we managed to       get her in pup, we would reimburse them with the price they paid for her. And so this was our first       attempt at breeding.            Rosie gave us a lovely litter of three puppies. One went to the owner of the stud dog, one we sold       and this left us with a little red bitch, we named Molly.            Molly then started us on the road to showing. We used to take her to all the local Open Shows at       which we had several Best of Breeds and did well in the Group. We then tried the Championship       Shows where she also did quite well. Although she was never awarded a ‘CC’ she qualified for       Crufts several years running and thoroughly enjoyed her showing career.                                            Steve with Dudley at a show.              We now own five bitches and one dog. Two of the bitches and the dog are show dogs and we have       had quite a lot of fun with them over the years.       We are not ‘big’ breeders although we do have puppies occasionally. We enjoy our dogstremen-       dously. They all live in the house with us as apposed to kennels and are very much part of our       family.            Steve and Debby Ives                HOME
