Arvak Nord – The biggest Arabian horsefarm in Nothern Scandinavia

Arvak Nord is located in Gammelstad, 10 km west of Luleå. The horsefarm is owned by Kristina and Nils-Olov Lindfors and holds six broodmares and one licensed stallion. Totally the farm hosts seven Arabian horses. The stallion Mustang was the bases of this successful farm. He was one of very few Arabian stallions in Sweden with license to serve in the Anglo-Arabian and Swedish Warmblood horsebreeding. The farm also owned Primo, the charismatic showhorse. He was leased to Janów Podlaski in Poland during 1998-1999. During the breeding-season 2000 Primo was leased to the Arabian Stud Vlasakker Arabians in Holland, where he unfortunately so sadly died in January 2001.

Read more about Primo

The sire of Primo is Engano: European Champion Stallion in Paris 1982. Engano, is also the sire of Bajano, Etnograf, Rosseau and Sagana. Primo himself is 3/4 brother to Aspenas fantastic mare Sagana. Engano died at the age of 8, after a breeding career of only four years. Engano was bred in Janów Podlaski in Poland. He raced one year with two starts and won both of the races. Engano left only four sons and Primo was his last.

The dam of Primo, Polka, was – just like Primo – born at the Swedish stud Blommeröd Arabstuteri. Polka is through Pohaniec a half-sister to Probat. Her mother is by the famous Exelsjor, who also died much too young, leaving only a few offspring. Exeljor was born in Janów Podlaski. He was leased to Sweden where he became National Champion.

As you can see, Primo descended from generations of champions. They are all from classic Polish bloodlines. Primo was extremly good mover with an exceptionally fine head. In 1998 and 1999 Primo was chief sire in Janów Podlaski State Stud, so that they have these rare and famous bloodlines back. Primo won many championchips. To name a few: Swedish National Champion, Norwegian National Champion, Finnish National Champion, second at the European in Aachen and Den Bosch and third at the World Championchips in Paris.

Primo has many offsprings that have been exported also two to the USA.
His excellent merits are shown above.

Read more about Mustang

Mustang is by the Polish Arabian stallion Mustafar.

Mustafar was imported to Sweden and after he became Swedish National Champion he was exported to USA where he was sire of 14 champions.

Mustang is his only licenced son in Europe.

Mustang´s grandfather – Comet – is probably the most important stallion in the postwar Polish Arabian horsebreeding.

Mustang´s mother Sweet Nicolina represents the classic English Crabbet bloodlines.
