THE PHOTOGRAPHER The main topic of my photography is the nude, even though I have tried most other topics. Only the nudes turn out fairly well, so that is why I stick to them. I also like very much to make portraits, but the views on wether they are good or not are very different, but as long as both the models and I are content, I am happy. I have taken part in international salons since 1988 and was awarded the title AFIAP in 1995. INDIVIDUAL EXHIBITIONS:
THE TECHNIQUE There are no special secrets in the technique. I use nearly exclusively the sizes 4,5X6 and 6X6 cm. The photos shown here are taken with various cameras, but I mostly use Kiev60 with either the standard lens or a Biometar 120mm or a Seagull 4A107. The film is usually Efke R50, ideal for nudes, portraits and landscapes through its high sensitivity for green and relatively low sensitivity for blue and red. Sometimes I also use R100, a film that copes with almost any mistake I could make. I enlarge on Emaks fiberbase paper, usually with matte or crystal surface. It is a true chlorobromide paper, thus very easy to tone, which is important for me as I very often tone my pictures. The toners used are Sulphidetoners like Agfa Viradon or Kodak Polytoner as well as copper- and irontoners. The R25, R50 and R100 films as well as Emaks are produced by Fotokemika, Zagreb, Croatia and represented in Sweden by PHOTAX |
