LISTENER'S FEEDBACK

Here are listener's comments and questions which I think might be of interest. I have replied to the questions further down on this page. Your opinion of my music is very important to me. Don't hesitate to let me know what you think:

, USA:
Your music is awesome. I've been *slowly* learning the piano for several years now. I understand and feel everything you say about being "carried away" by the music. I've never heard a digital piano sound like what I'm listening to right now, though. How do you do it? Finally, I've ordered your cd, and I eagerly await it in the mail. Best regards, Michael A.

, Canada:
Nic's music is brilliant. I have enjoyed his music for a few months now and realize that as a piano player, very few of us have the talents Niclas is graced with. If you have not purchased or are wondering whether to purchase a cd, do so now. You will be asking when the next one is due for release....it's that good. Nic, keep up the good work.

, USA:
I so deeply enjoy the quiet keys. I sleep in a tranquil state, i have found my muse. Thank You

, Denmark:
24 very fine works perfect for meditation and relaxation. Niclas, please get the music into sheets - ASAP! Regards, Ulrik J

, USA:
I found this page while trying to decide on the next sampled piano to buy. I'm trying to decide between 'The Grand' and the 'Bosendorfer 290.' What did you use for the pieces I am listening to? Very great work, sound and melodies are fantastic. Michael D

, Italy:
i found your site i don't know how...i read your story....i played your sample....and.....well.....fantastic! hey man, congratulations, this is what i can say, but i don't have the right words to explain what i felt with your music... i studied flute and composition for 5 years when i was young but my dream has been and it is the piano...i am really a lover of it and in general of beethoven (first of all), then debussy, satie, chopin, grieg and some others.... simone - italy p.s: where are you from exactly ??

, Canada:
I am a composer/recording artist general know for my work in the nouveau flamenco genre. I also play piano, and I am currently working on an album of new age style instrumental compositions. I have a Goers und Kallmann grand from the 1880's which has a nice sound and good feel, but I was searching for a high quality sampler for my studio on the internet where I happened across your web site. I just wanted to mention that I really enjoyed your compositions. They are indeed meditations from the heart. One cannot help and sit back while listening and fall into a state of gentle reflection. Congratulations on your fine work.

, Sweden:
Life as I know it, has always been, and always will be, a field, in which music will play a very important role. I must say that your piano pieces are most beautiful to my ears. I often improvise myself as a way of reach the inner parts of me, to feel balance in life. Your site, and music, made me stop for a while. The pauses you make between notes, makes room to dream away for a moment. This is quite unusual these days, so be happy for the outcome of your creativity, and good luck in the future.

My replies to questions:

First of all, thank you for your comments and questions.

The original performances you can hear were mostly used with some, nowadays, very old equipments such as Yamaha EMT10 piano module, Yamaha DOM30 sequencer and Alesis Microverb. My keyboard has been (and still is) Yamaha's 76-key Clavinova CLP250. The finalization and recording of these works were made with Cubase VST with The Grand VSTi, Neon VSTi and Reverb32.

The piano sound is in itself one very important ingredient in the core of my works. When I compose, I usually let the instrument guide me through improvisations, showing me how to achieve that special magic sound that only a piano can deliver. My composing and performance are accomplished in co-operation with the instrument, like teamwork. What you hear is me - and the piano.

I have received several requests for music sheets. As almost all my works were sequenced I will have to put everything into notes, and this takes time I'm afraid. Let me just say that it's on the "to do list"... If there is any specific work you would like to see on music sheets let me know.

I currently live in a small village in the southest part of Sweden called Hjärup, situated 5 km south of the university city Lund, about 50 km east of the Danish capital København (Copenhagen).

My music is not well known. Hopefully I will some day sell enough to make a living and thus be able to do what I like best - composing. For the moment this is just a utopia which I share with millions of other musicians worldwide. In any case, I'm always delighted to hear about people who enjoy my music, who choose spending their limited time listening to what I have achieved in front of my piano.
