NICLAS FOGWALL - PIANO WORKS
LISTENER'S FEEDBACKHere are listener's comments and questions which I think might be of interest. I have replied to the questions further down on this page. Your opinion of my music is very important to me. Don't hesitate to let me know what you think: | ![]() |
, USA: Your music is awesome. I've been *slowly* learning the piano for several years now. I understand and feel everything you say about being "carried away" by the music. I've never heard a digital piano sound like what I'm listening to right now, though. How do you do it? Finally, I've ordered your cd, and I eagerly await it in the mail. Best regards, Michael A.

My replies to questions:First of all, thank you for your comments and questions. The original performances you can hear were mostly used with some, nowadays, very old equipments such as Yamaha EMT10 piano module, Yamaha DOM30 sequencer and Alesis Microverb. My keyboard has been (and still is) Yamaha's 76-key Clavinova CLP250. The finalization and recording of these works were made with Cubase VST with The Grand VSTi, Neon VSTi and Reverb32. The piano sound is in itself one very important ingredient in the core of my works. When I compose, I usually let the instrument guide me through improvisations, showing me how to achieve that special magic sound that only a piano can deliver. My composing and performance are accomplished in co-operation with the instrument, like teamwork. What you hear is me - and the piano. I have received several requests for music sheets. As almost all my works were sequenced I will have to put everything into notes, and this takes time I'm afraid. Let me just say that it's on the "to do list"... If there is any specific work you would like to see on music sheets let me know. I currently live in a small village in the southest part of Sweden called Hjärup, situated 5 km south of the university city Lund, about 50 km east of the Danish capital København (Copenhagen). My music is not well known. Hopefully I will some day sell enough to make a living and thus be able to do what I like best - composing. For the moment this is just a utopia which I share with millions of other musicians worldwide. In any case, I'm always delighted to hear about people who enjoy my music, who choose spending their limited time listening to what I have achieved in front of my piano.
