Various boat types
There are a lot of
old traditional boat types along aur coast. Buiding a boat or ship
or boat together is in many respects an optimal kind of group project,
especially if the boat built is a copy of an old traditional type.
The project brings knowledge and opportunity to study other cultures
and historical conditions. In this way I've been building an 11
meter long Umiaq, i e an old traditional boat from Greenland. Maybe
you and your friends may be able to build a boat?
