We do not know much
about the history of the original boat, except the fact that it was built in 1909 by Knut
Bengtsson in Hällevik, Blekinge. Bengtsson had a
boat building partner called "Bens Ola". The "Rundgatting" is a boat-type
that is closely related to other south-swedish and danish boats.
Around year 1900 they were common in the middle and west of
Blekinge. The size of a "rundgatting" can vary between 13 and 22 feet.
