The boat is now fully planked and the floor timbers and frames are in place.
The outside of the hull is painted with a dark tar. The inside of the hull is treated with a mixture of equal parts of fine tar,
turpentine and raw linseed oil. The upper planking is varnished with "le tonkinois" a traditional linseed oil varnish.
The boat has been treated at least once a week during the building period with linseed oil.
The hull looks quite nice
