The swedish specimengroup TINCA was formed in 1981 by nine anglers from the city of Lidkoping (close to lake Vanern) who shared the same interest of course fish "specimen hunting". In that time popularity of specimen hunting was rapidly increasing in Sweden and the group became soon one of the leading team in the Swedish specimen contest. During the 1990:s more and more of the members were trying other types of fishing. Pike-fishing and trolling fashinated more of the members. Today, Tinca has 25 members.

High scores
TINCA won the swedish specimen contest in 1982. We also made a good 3:rd place in 1991/92. Than, the member Sven Martinsson won the individual title. Take a look at the record list - and You get a glimse of our sucessful specimen hunting. The trollingteam of Tinca has also made amazing success. Here are some of them; Kinnekulleträffen 2004 (1:st place), Kållandsöträffen 2004 (2:nd place), Kinnekulleträffen 1998 (3:rd place), Kållandsöträffen 2000 (3:rd place). Andreas Bäckstrands world record brown trout of 14,420 kg from lake Vänern also was caught from the boat of Tinca-member Fredrik Nilsson.

Swedish records
TINCA-members has on several occations caught specimen fish over the swedish record. They include chub of 2890 g (1981), 3070 g and 3180 g (1990), vimba of 1255 g (1990) and dace på 358 g (1986).
