Yangon
Woman in Yangon
Monk and snowboarder
Like it or not, Yangon (Rangoon) is probably going to be your entry point if you visit Burma. I flew in from Bangkok but there are flights from a few other places as well.

The temperature in the capital was around 35°C when I arrived and billboards such as this one was the only place where snowboarders could find enough snow to do their thing.

Shwedagon Paya
The Shwedagon Paya is the most important pagoda in the country, but it was undergoing a renovation when I visited.
Maha Wizaya Paya
Rather than showing a lot of pictures of the scaffolding, here is the nearby Maha Wizaya Paya at sunset.

Sweeping the floor at Shwedagon Paya
From Yangon, I took a bus to Bagan (Pagan).
